Chamberlain has struggled to find his way into the starting lineup and hasn't been highly impressive whenever he got a chance to play. Arsène Wenger, however, has maintained his faith in Chamberlain and wants the 22-year-old to continue at Arsenal.
Chelsea are one of the clubs who have been watching Chamberlain's situation at Arsenal and Wenger is not ready to sell him at this point. A new contract will close all doors for rivals to approach Chamberlain.
Despite a bad season by his standards, Chamberlain is one of the brightest prospects in England. He is only 22 and it is way too early to lose patience on him. Chamberlain is expected to get more game time in the FA Cup fixtures as Arsenal continue their run in the cup with Burnley visiting the Emirates next.
