Exclusive from TGT writers' desk: Arsenal target Mohamed El-Nenny

With the worrying injuries to key players, Arsenal are falling short in some areas. Despite the next transfer window being far away, Arsenal are already sending scouts around Europe to gather reports on potential summer signings. The latest report came from FC Basel where their new signing, Mohamed El-Nenny has impressed the Arsenal representatives and a move for the player could be made.

El-Nenny has been key to Basel's good form
Our writers at TGT have received reports that Arsenal have sent representatives to FC Basel to discuss the possibility of a move but the Swiss club refused to commit on selling the player since they only signed him last year and he has helped the club maintain the top spot.

Who is Mohamed El-Nenny?

El-Nenny is an Egyptian defensive midfielder, a hard hitting powerhouse while being a strong figure covering the defence. He joined FC Basel on loan in January 2013 and went on signing a four-year deal until 2017. At Basel, he established himself as the key player in the midfield with his efficiency.

El-Nanny also featured in Egypt's senior team during the Olympic Games in London last year and became a regular member of the team.

Transfer to Arsenal

We understand that Arsenal will definitely stay in touch with FC Basel for the player and a bid could be made in the summer. He is a player Arsène Wenger admires and we can see him join Arsenal in the future.
